Together, let’s protect what matters most.

Thank you, Berkshire Township
I’m so deeply grateful for the incredible support, encouragement, and trust shown throughout this campaign. Your kindness and belief in our shared vision for Berkshire Township have truly humbled me.
While the campaign has ended, the real work is just beginning. I’m eager to listen, learn, and work with residents across Berkshire, Galena, and Sunbury to keep our community strong, transparent, and true to the values that make it home.
– Mary Howard
Berkshire Township Trustee elect.
Protecting
Safeguarding Township Land and Zoning Authority
I am committed to protecting Berkshire Township from outside annexation and overreach. I will fight to preserve our borders, defend local zoning rights, and ensure development aligns with the values and character of our community–not the agendas of outside entities.
Preserving
Maintaining Our Rural Character and Way of Life
Berkshire’s charm lies in its open spaces and small town feel. I’ll support property rights but believe growth must be thoughtful, measured, and in harmony with the township’s rural identity. I’ll work to preserve what makes our community special–now and for the future.
Serving
Transparent, Accountable Leadership That Listens
I believe public service starts with the people. I will champion transparency, fiscal responsibility, and open communication–ensuring residents are informed, involved, and heard. By keeping spending lean and decision-making public, I’ll put the township’s needs first.
About
A Neighbor, A Leader, A Champion for our Community
My journey to Berkshire Township began in 1984 when I moved from Maryland to attend Ohio Wesleyan University. What was meant to be a brief stay quickly turned into a lifelong commitment to this community. I’ve spent over 30 years in Delaware County, and grateful to say 15 of those years in Berkshire.
Through leadership roles in the Sunbury-Galena Rotary Club, Women Giving Together, and co-leading the Gather + Give initiative, I have seen firsthand the power of community action. With a passion for service, I’ve helped direct over $170,000 to local nonprofits and built lasting connections with neighbors and leaders alike.
My heart lies in preserving the peaceful, rural character of Berkshire Township. As a devoted pet owner and equestrian, I understands the importance of maintaining the values that make our community special. Whether working with local nonprofits or advocating for transparency in township decisions, my commitment to our shared future is clear.
Together, let’s protect what matters most.
